Project Idea: Dante's Inferno

Dante's Inferno is one of the great underworld journeys of all time, where Dante meets with mythological heroes, characters from the Bible, and contemporary politicans and celebrities from his own world. You can retell Dante's journey in your own way, or you could imagine a different underworld adventurer (maybe even you yourself!) who meets a different cast of characters in hell.

Research Tip: Start with the Dante unit in the UnTextbook, and then read the background at Wikipedia: Dante's Inferno. These books will also be useful: Stories from Dante by Mary Macgregor and Dante's Divine Comedy translated by Tony Kline.
