I shared the
FJJMA's guide to sculptures on the OU campus, and I want to zoom in on some of the mythological ones, starting with the
Sphinx. It's located north of the museum entrance, and it's hard to miss: it's 10 feet tall and weighs 3000 pounds. The sculptor is
Fernando Botero, and you can read about the
legend of the Sphinx at Wikipedia also.
